We are very thrilled to share with everyone our first project that took place this past weekend in the city of Vushtrri. Our dedicated team started off by spreading flyers throughout the city while engaging with people and having meaningful conversations about animal welfare. These flyers were designed to raise awareness about the importance of responsible breeding, spaying/neutering and vaccination of animals and preventing dog abandonment. We wanted to make sure that every dog owner in the community understands the significance of these issues.
Additionally, we met with the director of Department of Protection and Rescue mr. Maliq Ferizi, contract manager mr. Sabri Dallku and also the directors from hunting association “Çyçavica” in Vushtrri. These meetings were very beneficial as we addressed important problems such as preventing dog abandonment, promoting animal health and creating a compassionate & responsible community.
We also had the chance to meet with local farmers discussing various strategies and initiatives to promote the well-being of animals under their care The project was a resounding success and a great experience collaborating together towards a common goal. We will keep you updated about the progress of this project and its impact on the community. Stay tuned!
*This project was in cooperation between KAPA(Kosovo Association for the Protection of Animals) with swiss foundation StrayCoco and North Animal Hospital in Vushtrri.
